Can someone tell me the pros and cons to this area / development. My wife and I are considering this development and area for retirement.
Again, if anyone has any insight we would appreciate it.

We purchased in Montanas De Caldera. We haven't started building the villa yet, but soon. We researched Panama for 1 year before we went down for 2 weeks to see for ourselves. We drove from Panama City to Boquete, because we wanted to see the country. Lets face it, it's not America but we kept an open mind during our travels. We looked in and around Panama City (within 1.5 hrs of city) we decided that wasn't for us. Too many people. When we got to Boquete, we were hooked. We loved Montanas and Jane and her father are very nice. We will be retiring there next yr at age 60. We could not do that here.
Google Panama and put in "retire" "living" "health care" anything you can think of, and you will always get new sites.
Boquete has some good food and prices are cheap. Filet Mignon was $10.00 for about 12 oz. The best I've ever had. All beef is organic. Great seafood and veggi's and fruit. Let me know if you decide to buy in Montanas maybe we will be neighbors. We looked at a lot of places before we decided where to buy. It is going to be a great adventure. The quality of the fixtures are very high end and our salesman Cesar is great. We currently live in Washington state and we have a very nice custom home on acreage, we will have an equally custom home down there, for about 1/3rd the price. I highly recommend Montanas
