Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how hard is it for an american to just fly down to belize and get a job working in a bar or a night club. I have work in 8 different bars and night clubs. So just seeing what my options are.

I believe violence is generally associated to night clubs so it is an obvious "Yes" for your question.

"tell me how hard is it for an american to just fly down to belize" - Why are people always thinks of the negative rather than the positive. How about asking "How EASY it is to fly down to Belize", it is just a matter and way of thinking.

Buy a ticket, go to the airport, get on the airport... don't forget your passport.

Yes that is that simple. People can be so naive and be a pessimists. Instead of looking for the good side aof every country, they came barging in and asking some obvious questions which they know completely knew about. "How dangerous it it?" - there is no safe place these days, you wanted to travel then expect the dangers associated with traveling, you can even die even without arriving at the airport. It is just really a matter of common sense. Watch your back and be observant, that will get you out of trouble. I guarantee it.

Jason Ehresmann you should at least have the proper skills and expertise to be accepted as one. Isn't that how that usually works? You should know better because you have already worked on bars before right?

I've been to a couple of clubs in Japan and Thailand and I can say that they really can whip up a great party. Just watch your back though. We usually go in groups when going on a bar hopping.
