'environmental jobs/companies in Belize' Jobs

Hi, I am environmental scientist/engineer looking to relocate to Belize. Who are the major (and minor) environmental companies and engineering companies in Belize? I have experience in environmental management, flood assessment and drainage design etc... I am looking to find a position in the public or private sector in Belize but am having difficulty finding any contact details for companies/organisations located in Belize.

Any information would be appreciated.

Hi, this doesn't help you much in your query, but I am approaching graduation with an Environmental Studies major, and I'm looking to live in Belize for a few months in the early fall. Is environmental studies something that is big in Belize? Also is it a job that is in high demand, and is the pay good here. Would it be worth moving there from the U.S.?

Why are you moving from U.S., are you nuts? I know some people whose still cling to their american dream while you are wasting it. Are you from U.S. Douglas? Environmenal studies is in demand everywhere, with all the issues regarding global destruction all countries are open for environmentalist for heaven's sake. Try searching the net for information regarding Belize and its needs for environmentalists.. I bet you'll find lots..

I know that Belize is very interested in managing its forests. It is one of the few countries that still has a good forest cover. They have even thought of handing it over to private institutions to manage. Others? Not interested! To heck with it, cut all the trees down, what do we care? Then come the floods and disasters.
