I am planning to move to Belize but need to sell

my existing property in Canada first. Would like

to hear from ex-pats from anywhere, but from

Canada in particular or from the northern parts of

the United States. Need to know how you got along

to begin with - what were the hardest things to

get used to. I have a permanent salary so will

not need to find employment in Belize which helps

likely as not. So, if anyone can comment, that

would be great - on life in general there or any

other topic about the country and its Belizian

born residents also.

I am from canada and have lived in the U.S.A. for about 20 years but am not a citizen. I am 60 years old and I am looking to retire in the next 3 years and I would LOVE to move back to Canada, so please provide me with more information about this property. I am VERY interested.

This is my second reply on the Canada post from Pam. I am 100% serious when I tell you I am VERY interested in your property but I need to know more information about this property and hopefully its soon before its time for me to retire in 5 years. If not than I guess you changed your mind about selling it.

What are my options to move to Belize? I am a single female with no restrictions, an experienced artist, art educator and curator.

Bill, Pam should found a better way to dispose her property or she found one even before completing her post. See, if she was a serious seller, she'd have given her contact information and even given a price range and indicated whether or not that was negotiable.

Perhaps she is not playing games..try running an online search by her name; you could be lucky and who knows, I could be your visitor in Canada one time.

Where is Belize? I haven't heard the place before. For sure it is not a country but probably one state in the US?

I can provide you with all kinds of information about living in Belize. Please send me an email and I will forward several reports we have for this purpose.

Belize is surely my cup of tea. The landscapes, the sceneries, the lovely women, everything about Belize is simply astronomically divine.

Comment #8 Eve (63.176.159.226) - 11/17/09 11:42

I saw a woman in my country for Carnival one time from Belize and just cannot get over how beautiful the women of that country are.

Comment #9 Eve (63.176.159.144) - 12/03/09 20:02

This Belizean was simply smiling at me from the corners of here eyes and gauged me, so to speak. When I had realized just how beautiful this girl really was, she left to get a drink, and that was precisely when my lower back began to hurt me from standing up for such a long time. I had to leave, never getting the opportunity to even ask the beauty her name, or why she smiled so much at me, or why she turned down the guy that approached her, but kept close to me while we were making conversation.

"Re: Plan to Move to Belize"

Hi Pam,

My suggestion is to do as much research as you can before you go, and then stay in Belize for a few months as a trial run before you decide to make the move. Belize isn't for everyone!

The website "Paradise Hunter" has covered moving to Belize extensively. If you're looking for information on anything from the Belizean lifestyle to opening a bank account to proper etiquette and nightlife, I think Paradise Hunter can probably answer most of your questions.

Hope that helps, and good luck with your search!

Scott

I would also suggest that one do much research when planning to head to Belize, for the country is a very dangerous one, though it may be significantly beautiful.

I think there are no safes place on earth nowadays. But that should not stop us from traveling and living life to the fullest. The only thing that we need to do is to make sure that wherever country we are to go, we are to enjoy and we are not there to spoil everything.

I agree that it is best of we do some research first. As they say, it is better to be sure than to left out crying.

Comment #13 Duck Beautiful King (63.176.159.237) - 12/28/09 22:47

My suggestion is why not try to visit Belize first, for a few weeks or months to experience and feel what its like.

And if you are really decided that would want to spend the rest of your life there, I think you could arrange paperworks and you finances while staying there

And you have a change of heart then you could go home without any worries any citizenship conflicts

"Dennis Gelinas"

Hello,

I am a 58 year old male, parents Canadian, I was born just south of the border in NH. I have been visiting Belize for years now. I have made the permanent move here, have permanent residency, live on a coconut palm island for 5 years now, looking at the world's second largest barrier reef. I have acquired property here, would be glad to help you out with any questions you have.

Regards, Dennis

I have to agree on you Duck Beautiful King, your name reminds me of someone popular in our place. I think it is much better if you go try to live in a certain country for a couple of months before deciding to live there for good. This way, you can avoid any citizenship conflicts and some more problems. Good luck to all of you guys and have a nice day.

Comment #16 controversy (63.176.159.20) - 02/11/10 20:05

You must always try to visit in country in which you may be thinking about moving to, prior to making a final move to that country. Do not ever jump into some other country without thinking about what it is that you are actually doing.
