| May is the hottest month! We are now into the hottest month of the year here and I write on a Sunday evening with 70% humidity and 33C with the fan just blowing the hot air around if we are lucky it should drop 2 degrees in the night the real killer is the humidity which is energy sapping and sweaty it makes work near impossible as the brain turns to mush in the afternoons and getting enough water in is challenging.I am always pleased that the Belizeans find it tough going as well it isnt just me from Europe. |
| It's the humidity that is the hardest to get used to. Everything feels damp, sometimes the floors get wet from the humidity. It's like pushing your way through the air when you take a simple walk to do an errand. One also must drink lots of water to keep hydrated. |
| Wow, that was an amazing adventure for you. I have learned much from the different expats who peacefully live in Belize. I think one thing that makes them stay in Belize is the ultimate richness of nature. They can do a lot of outdoor activities that strengthen their relationship among their colleagues as well as their family members. I would love to visit Belize in May as well. Thanks and great day. |
| Well if May is the hottest month in Belize then that would be the perfect time to be in the country! Well, for me, I would love to go there on months that I can still go out and bear the heat. And I would love to go to Belize soon. I wonder when would be the perfect time to visit the country and be able to have a wonderful vacation. |
| I do not personally like the hottest months of the year for traveling in a new country, unless I am sure that I will be at a beach resort with no other purpose but to hit the waves or sit in a pool with a drink in hand. If I have to do absolutely anything in town and there's high humidity and temperatures, it is simply torture for me! |
| I agree that during the hot months, it's the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors whether in Belize or anywhere else in the world. Of course, you would have to do always bring with you some extra shirt and plenty of drinking water to keep yourself hydrated. And it's also the perfect time to go for a cool swim in the pool or beach. That's something you can't do on a cold weather. |
