Hi Jill as far as i know the only requirements are that you have a retirement pension of more than 29000 us dollars.

That seems pretty stiff... about $2, 500/month compared to Panama and Costa Rica which are in the $500-$600/month range.

For immigrating to Belize is very easy for many people. As a matter of fact that Belize is one of the easiest country to obtain residency or citizenship in a short period of time. As for Chinese, there is some requirements but still possible to do!

I've been to a lot of countries and hold multiple entry visas. But I've never been to the south americas.
