Are your vehicles in Belize?
Comment #2 Jake from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin - 03/23/07 05:19
That is an excellent question... buying a car to have it shipped it a bad idea for too many reasons.

Do you have contact number, email address that we can visit? Please provide photo of your cars on sale. It will help to figure out our mind on buying them.

True Jake, all the shipping costs will somehow revert to you. It is better to just get a car near you or one that will not involve much hassle. Is there a disadvantage in buying a used car like you having to be sending it to the garage often times? I still think it is better to go for the new cars and taking care of them. The extra cost is worth it. Brian, please provide some sort of link to second your claims.

List a website of some sort..that will answer a lot of yet to be asked questions. Where and which types of cars do you deal in.How much do you charge in terms of shipping and what are the general import and/or export charges?
If you are serious enough, the next poster will be YOU!

Then why no go for online car stores? I suggest that you browse for online stores for list of for sale cars. You can choose from used and brand new cars.If you are stretching your budget then i would suggest that you go for the semi used cars, it costs much smaller than the new ones.
Or better yet, you can go search in your place for better finds.

Wel, everything seems to have an online version. So if ever we want to know something the first thing to do is to inquire online.

I am not a fan of used cars, but sometimes, we simply have no other choice, but to go with the flow.

What's wrong with a used car? I love the new car smell, but still, if I don't have sufficient money for the purchase of a new car, then what am I to do?
Comment #14 Daisy (63.176.159.135) - 01/29/10 20:15
You are right on that matter curtis, it is not actually a bad idea to buy an old or used car. You just have to check on the said car and choose the best one. Most of the time some used car are not on good condition and so we have to make sure that we are choosing the right one. But anyway, all I can say is that buying used car is not a bad idea at all.
Comment #15 Sam (77.42.0.70) - 02/21/10 22:19
That is true, it really does not matter if you go for old and used cars just as long as you know that it is running fine and well and that you can save lots of money then why not go for it. I mean, during this hard financial times that we are facing, it is much better if we go for saving enough even while spending, do you get what I mean?

"Quality pre-owned cars now available from USA"
Hi, My husband and I used to live in PG (Punta Gorda). We will be returning within the next 3 months.
We know the value of having a reliable vehicle in Belize. We have been able to find a reputable seller in West Palm beach, Florida. His cars are in mint condition and the prices are very reasonable.
We like the fact that he list the VIN # along with a host of pictures of practically every inch of the vehicle.
Please let us know if you're in need. We'll negotiate a great deal for you!

"This is a BELIZE FORUM!"
I deleted your link because this is a forum about Belize not selling cars in Florida. I didn't see anything about how one would purchase one of your cars and viable import it to Belize.Let's keep this forum on topic. I'm sure you have some great stories about living in Punta Gorda you could share.
Thanks.

"How Belizeans can save money on used vehicles"
Sorry about the original entry. I'm new to your blog and still learning the ropes. The info my husband and I offer on buying and shipping a car to Belize is from our personal experience because we are moving back to PG in the next few months.
We purchased our car from auction in Florida for thousands under the usual private party price.
Next we contacted a fellow Belizean, Amado Mena of "Easy Shipping to Belize" [phone # 941-255-1031]to request rates to ship our vehicle by freight. Avg. rate is $725 - $750 depending on the year, make and model of the car. Amado offers door-to-door service on his items. Hyde Shipping is comparable.
Next, unfortunately if you are not newly moving into Belize, Amado says customs slaps an additional freight fee of $1000 on top of the value of the vehicle once the vehicle is in port. Please let us know if this is bogus info.If this is your initial move to Belize, you can move up to $15, 000 worth of items and one car, boat or RV to my knowledge without the additional duties. So make the trip worth while and stuff as much as you can in everything, including your vehicle.
The value is determined by how much you spent for the car, hence the importance of getting it at the lowest possible price, which we can offer to fellow Belizeans since we have access to cars at auction.
Afterwards, Amado has an agent that will take care of all the additional paperwork to get your car through customs for only $125 excluding any customs duty on the vehicle, i.e. 10-15% value of vehicle for trucks and 45-65% value of vehicle for cars or SUVs.
We hope this helps and is detailed enough to allow for real calculations.
